Digital entry, security screening and capacity limits shape tournament week logistics

The 2026 WM Phoenix Open is scheduled for Feb. 2–8 at TPC Scottsdale, with tournament operators emphasizing mobile-first ticketing, strict security screening at entry gates and fan-conduct enforcement across the property. General admission is free on Monday and Tuesday, but event materials note that access can be limited if the venue reaches capacity, with a wait-list established in that scenario.

Tickets for tournament grounds are digital. Organizers direct spectators to use a mobile ticketing system for entry, and also note that pairing information is distributed digitally through the PGA TOUR app rather than printed guides.

Bag sizes are tightly restricted; no bag check is available

Security procedures include inspection of persons and belongings and may include metal detection. Tournament bag rules limit what fans can bring through the gates and highlight that oversized items will be turned away. Organizers also state that no bag check or locker service is available, meaning spectators should plan to return prohibited items to their vehicles if stopped at screening.

  • No opaque bags larger than 6 x 6 x 6 inches are permitted.
  • Clear bags have a larger allowance, but are capped at 12 x 6 x 12 inches; clear tote bags above that size are not permitted.

Prohibited items and on-site rules: cashless purchases, limited re-entry, mobile devices on silent

Event policies also outline restrictions on what may enter the venue and how spectators may behave on the grounds. Tournament materials state that purchases on site are cashless and that re-entry is not allowed. Mobile phones are permitted but must remain on silent; photo and video use is allowed with flash turned off. The tournament’s prohibited-items guidance also flags bans on outside beverages and glass containers, along with restrictions on equipment such as drones, selfie sticks and certain cameras.

Organizers further state that disruptive behavior, intoxication, illegal activity, heckling or violations of tournament instructions can result in ejection and loss of ticket privileges, and that unauthorized on-site sale or giveaway of tickets and badges is prohibited.

Will call and wristband registration for hospitality areas

For spectators using will call, tournament information places the primary will call location north of Bell Road between Hayden Road and 82nd Street, operating from 7 a.m. to the end of play each day. For premium and hospitality access, tournament materials indicate that wristbands must be registered for entry and that requirements can vary by age category for access to hospitality areas.

Weather interruptions: follow on-course messaging and seek shelter when directed

Tournament guidance instructs spectators to monitor on-course scoreboards and digital signage for weather updates and to follow staff directions during storms. Safety messaging advises avoiding high ground, golf carts, temporary structures, trees and wire fencing when dangerous weather is present, and notes that an air-horn signal is used to indicate a suspension of play and the need to seek shelter.

Planning around mobile tickets, bag limits, and on-site conduct rules can reduce delays at entry gates and improve movement across the course during peak hours.
