Most meetings are held at the Phoenix City Hall or are accessible via virtual platforms. Agendas and participation instructions are available through the official City Clerk's portal.

Public Health Advisory: Measles Surveillance

The Maricopa County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) continues its active surveillance following confirmed community transmission of measles. Today, February 5, marks a critical deadline for residents who may have been exposed at specific locations in mid-January. Health officials advise individuals who visited EOS Fitness (3025 S. Val Vista Dr., Gilbert) or Sam’s Club (1225 N. Gilbert Rd., Gilbert) between January 13 and 15 to complete their 21-day symptom watch. Symptoms to monitor include high fever, cough, runny nose, and the characteristic red, blotchy rash. If symptoms appear, residents should contact their healthcare provider by phone before arriving at a clinic to prevent further exposure.

Transportation and Infrastructure Alerts

Travelers using Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport should prepare for ongoing roadway restrictions. Rolling lane closures are in effect at the West Airport various areas through February 6, typically between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., to facilitate utility line maintenance. Additionally, overnight lane restrictions continue on Eastbound Sky Harbor Boulevard north of Terminal 3 until 6:00 a.m. this morning. These closures support the progress of the Terminal 3 north concourse project.

Environmental and Tax Notices

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has opened a public comment period for a proposed rulemaking regarding the Water Quality Fees Consumer Price Index (CPI) Adjustment. This period remains open through March 2, 2026. Additionally, the Maricopa County Assessor reminds residents that the new property tax exemption for 100% service-connected disabled veterans is now in effect. Eligible veterans should ensure their VA benefit documentation is updated to apply for these newly expanded benefits.
