This outage is necessary for critical system upgrades to ensure the continued reliability of municipal data services. Users experiencing issues during this window are encouraged to delay map-based inquiries until after the service restoration on Saturday evening.

Public Health Advisory: Community Measles Transmission

The Maricopa County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) has confirmed that measles is now spreading within the community following several new confirmed cases. Health officials have identified several public exposure sites in the East Valley where residents may have been at risk. These include a Target location on Warner Road, an EOS Fitness center on Val Vista Drive, and a Sam’s Club on Gilbert Road. Residents who visited these locations between January 13 and January 15 are urged to monitor for symptoms through early February. Symptoms typically include high fever, cough, runny nose, and a red, blotchy rash. Vaccination remains the most effective defense against further transmission.

Infrastructure Update: Loop 303 and Freeway Improvements

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is preparing for the commencement of the Loop 303 Improvement Project, scheduled to begin in late January 2026. This $129 million initiative, funded by Proposition 479, will focus on the interchange between I-17 and Loop 303 in North Phoenix. The project includes the construction of direct freeway-to-freeway ramps and the widening of Loop 303 to three lanes in each direction from I-17 west to 51st Avenue. Additionally, substantial completion of the Loop 101 Pima Freeway widening project between Shea Boulevard and Princess Drive is expected later this month, which will improve traffic flow for Scottsdale and North Phoenix commuters.
