Public Notice: Phoenix City Council and Subcommittee Sessions
The City of Phoenix has several official meetings scheduled for Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Residents are encouraged to participate in these sessions to stay informed on local governance and policy development. Meetings are held at the City Council Chambers, 200 W. Jefferson St., and are also broadcast live on PHXTV Channel 11 and the city’s official website.
- Phoenix Parks and Preserve Initiative Oversight Committee: Convened this morning at 9:30 AM to discuss the management of natural areas and the allocation of funds for city preserves.
- City Council Work Study Session: Scheduled for 12:30 PM. This session allows council members to review general information packets and prepare for upcoming legislative items in a non-formal setting.
- City Council Policy Meeting: Taking place from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. During this meeting, the council will hear presentations from city staff on major topics that may come before the council for formal votes in the future. Members of the public can attend in person to hear reports from the City Manager and follow-up on issues of public interest.
Public Health Advisory: Measles Exposure at Sky Harbor
Maricopa County Public Health officials have issued a high-priority health notice following a confirmed measles exposure at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The exposure occurred on January 29, 2026, involving a traveler who is not a county resident. Because the incubation period for measles can last up to 21 days, health officials are advising anyone who passed through the airport on that date to remain vigilant for symptoms through the end of this week. Symptoms include high fever, cough, and a red, blotchy rash. Residents are urged to review their vaccination status and contact a healthcare provider if they develop symptoms.
Public Safety Alert: Regional Advisory and Enforcement Updates
Regional authorities have active alerts impacting Maricopa County residents today. A weather-related advisory is in effect for the Lake Mead National Recreation Area from 11:00 AM until 11:00 PM today, Tuesday, February 10. Travelers and boaters in the region should exercise caution.
Additionally, the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety has released the final results of the 2026 Waste Management Phoenix Open DUI Task Force. The enforcement period resulted in 109 DUI arrests and 35 drug-related DUI arrests. Authorities also issued 113 civil speed citations and 21 citations for distracted driving during the operation, which concluded this morning.

The City of Phoenix Housing Department has officially posted the 2026 Fiscal Year Flat Rent Notice. Additionally, the draft for the 2026-2027 Annual Agency Plan is currently available for public review. These documents detail the administrative policies and rent structures for city-managed housing units and are accessible through the City Clerk’s office for review and comment.
