Official City Notice: I-10 Infrastructure Improvements

The Arizona Department of Transportation has issued a notice for motorists traveling through the South Mountain and Tempe corridor. Starting the evening of Monday, February 9, 2026, construction on a new wall barrier will necessitate the nightly closure of the eastbound I-10 off-ramp at Baseline Road. Drivers intended for Baseline Road are advised to use the following detour:

  • Proceed to the Elliot Road exit.
  • Re-enter the I-10 traveling westbound.
  • Utilize the westbound I-10 off-ramp at Baseline Road.
